No trip to Leadville would be complete without a self guided tour of the scenic and historic Mineral Belt Trail. That's why we have brand new Jamis Explorer hybrid bikes available for rental.

The Mineral Belt is a 12.5 mile paved loop that wanders through Leadville's Historic Mining District. The paved trail will bring you through aspen groves, conifer forests, wildflower meadows and offers unbelievable views of the Mosquito and Sawatch ranges. Many dirt roads intersect with the Trail, offering more off trail options for viewing historic mining ruins and other tell-tale signs of our region's original economic draw. There are also several kiosks on the trail to stop at that will give you some history about the area you are presently in and subsequently offer a great place to take a break and enjoy the amazing views of our beautiful Valley. There are numerous trailheads and access points to get on the trail and feel free to stop by the shop for as much information as you need to make the experience that much more memorable.

Don't forget to make a donation to the Mineral Belt Trail commitee. They do this all for free and rely on donations for trail upkeep and winter nordic trail grooming.
